Am I eligible for this visa?

To be eligible for this visa your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Ghana.

All travellers older than 9 months must be vaccinated against Yellow Fever.

When do I need to send my passport?
To submit your Ghana Tourist Visa application to High Commission on your behalf, we will require your original passport. If you are posting your application to us, simply include your passport - it is recommended that this is sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery.

If you are applying online, we will provide instructions as to when we will require your passport following your submission. Please do not send your physical passport until it is requested.

• COPY OF PASSPORT - A copy of the photograph/information page of your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Ghana.
• PHOTOGRAPH - A passport-style photograph, this should be clear and against a white background. If the photo you submit is not suitable we may contact you to ask for another. Please note: this should not be a photograph of the picture in your passport, this should be a recent, separate photograph.
• FLIGHT TICKET/TRAVEL ITINERARY - A copy of your flight ticket/travel itinerary which shows the applicants name and entry/exit flights.
• ACCOMMODATION CONFIRMATION - A copy of your hotel booking confirmation. This document must show the applicant's name, hotel name/address and check-in/out dates.

  • IF you are being invited to Ghana, please provide an invitation letter issued by a contact in Ghana and a copy of their passport or Ghana ID Card. Invitation letter must include inviter’s name and address, invitee’s name and passport details, dates of travel and a statement to confirm that the invitee will comply fully with the immigration laws of Ghana. Letter must be addressed to the Ghanaian Embassy in London and signed by the inviter.

• YELLOW FEVER CERTIFICATE - Up-to-date yellow fever certificate. As we will require the original document, this will be requested post-submission along with your passport.
• UK VISA - IF you hold a non-UK passport, please provide a copy of your UK visa or BRP Card.

When providing us with a copy of your passport, please make sure you provide a clear scan/photo of the page which shows your information and photo. Do not crop out any details including the machine-readable strip that runs along the bottom of the page as shown below:
