Important information

The Travel Visa Company does not issue your police certificate. This is undertaken by the ACRO Criminal Records Office and can take up to six weeks to process your application.

Subject Access Report - Certain details will be stepped-down from an ACRO Certificate after a set period of time depending on the nature of the offence, the age of the subject when the offence was committed, and the sentence imposed. If these details are no longer present on the ACRO, then a Subject Access Report will be required. The Travel Visa Company will obtain this for you to ensure you have all documents required for your visa application.

COPY OF PASSPORT – A colour copy of the photograph/information page of your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon return to the UK.

PHOTOGRAPH – A passport-style photograph, this should be clear and against a white background. If the photo you submit is not suitable we may contact you to ask for another. Please note: this should not be a photograph of the picture in your passport, this should be a recent, separate photograph.

PHOTOGRAPH HOLDING PASSPORT – This must be a photograph of yourself holding your passport with the photograph page open and facing towards the camera. The photograph should only include your shoulders and face with your passport held next to your face. All details on your passport must be legible.

SIGNED LETTER OF AUTHORISATION – Please ensure you complete and sign the letter of authorisation found at the back of the application form. Your ACRO application cannot be processed without this signed letter.

Failure to provide us with these documents will result in delays with your application. Please be advised that further documentation may be requested during the application process.

When providing us with a copy of your passport, please make sure you provide a clear scan/photo of the page which shows your information and photo. Do not crop out any details including the machine-readable strip that runs along the bottom of the page as shown below:
