ETIAS
New requirements for visiting Europe
What is ETIAS?
ETIAS stands for European Travel Information and Authorisation System.
Set to be launched in 2025, it is a new electronic travel authorisation system implemented by the European Union to authorise eligible individuals to travel into 30 European countries. If you would like to be notified when we launch this service, click here to sign-up to our mailing list.
Its purpose is to add additional security checks to EU borders. The System will screen, authorise and track travel into the EU by non-visa required nationals, who have previously been able to travel into the EU and the Schengen area without any enter or visa requirements.
Who will need an ETIAS?
Nationals of visa exempt countries will be required to apply, pay for and obtain an ETIAS prior to travel to any of the 30 participating countries.
Currently there are currently approximately 60 non-EU countries who do not require a visa, but once launched, will be required to obtain an ETIAS. Please click bellow to see a full list of countries whose nationals will require an ETIAS:
