Am I eligible for this visa?

To be eligible for this visa your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Sri Lanka.

A Sri Lanka Tourist eVisa is suitable for all tourist travel including:

• Holidaying
• Sightseeing/Touring
• Visiting friends and family
• Participating in sporting events and attending Yoga retreats.

You are not permitted to engage in any business activities on this eVisa. If you do intend to do business in Sri Lanka, you should apply for a Sri Lanka Business eVisa.

Cruising to or transiting through Sri Lanka?

If your stay in Sri Lanka does not exceed 4 days and is part of an onward journey to another country, you may be eligible for a Sri Lanka Transit eVisa.

A Sri Lanka Transit eVisa can be used when entering Sri Lanka via cruise ship.

All nationals are eligible for a 2 day transit eVisa waiver if transiting through any of Sri Lanka's airports.

• COPY OF PASSPORT - A copy of the photograph/information page of your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Sri Lanka.
• PHOTOGRAPH - The photograph must passport size, taken within the last 6 months, against a light background, printed on photographic paper, be full face and non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background].

This document will be electronically tagged to your passport and does not require you to visit an Embassy or Application Centre. When providing us with a copy of your passport, please make sure you provide a clear scan/photo of the page which shows your information and photo. Do not crop out any details including the machine-readable strip that runs along the bottom of the page as shown below:
