Am I eligible for this visa?

To be eligible for this visa your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India and have at least two blank visa pages. The passport will be stamped on arrival at one of the designated ports of entry.

If you were born in Pakistan, have any family links to Pakistan or have previously held a Pakistani passport you will not be eligible for an India Business E-Visa and should apply for a Business Visa.

This visa is only valid for entry through the following 31 designated airports*:

Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa(Dabolim), Goa(Mopa), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur,Kannur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi & Visakhapatnam.

and the following 5 designated seaports*:

Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Mumbai.

*The traveller can take exit from any of the authorised Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.

• PHOTOGRAPH - A passport-style photograph, this should be clear and against a white background. If the photo you submit is not suitable we may contact you to ask for another. Please note: this should not be a photograph of the picture in your passport, this should be a recent, separate photograph.
• BUSINESS CARD - Please include a copy of both sides of your company business card.
• INVITATION LETTER - Please include a business invitation letter from the inviting firm in India address to ‘High Commission of India’. The letter must be on the company’s headed paper and be signed by an authorised signatory of the company, proxy signature will not be accepted. The letter must contain the purpose of visit, applicants name, passport number, issue date and expiry date, and the total duration of stay in India per entry.
• COPY OF PASSPORT - A copy of the photograph/information page of your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon return to the UK.

This document will be electronically tagged to your passport and does not require you to visit an Embassy or Application Centre. When providing us with a copy of your passport, please make sure you provide a clear scan/photo of the page which shows your information and photo. Do not crop out any details including the machine-readable strip that runs along the bottom of the page as shown below:
